The board not only selects and works with CEO, but it sustains its relationships over time. 3.Approve strategies and an annual budget to implement the mission; select the major lines of investment consistent with the mission and vision, balance the vision against financial expenses and needs, and approve plans for carrying the process. 4.Maintain the quality of care; identify goals for safe, effective, patient-centered, timely efficient, and equitable care and create an organization which will attract and retain the most competent physicians, nurses, and other caregivers.
